Naituo township is located in the west of Meigu county. It is adjacent to Gangu Township in the East, Caihong Township in the south, Suluo Township in the north and diaoquzu Township in Yuexi County in the West. It is located in the eastern foot of lianzhagou mountain. It is high in the West and low in the East, with the highest altitude of 3733 meters; the lianzhalo Valley in the southeast has the lowest altitude of 1800 meters. The rural area is 61.6 square kilometers.

Naituo township is higher in the West and lower in the East, with the highest altitude of 3733 meters; lianzhalou Valley in the southeast is the lowest, with the altitude of 1800 meters. The rural area is 61.6 square kilometers. Township government resident Hou broadcast Naituo village, is located in the West Bank of lianzhalo River, next to niuhou highway, 1950 meters above sea level, 44 kilometers away from the county. It governs 6 villages and 24 groups, including 512 households and 2710 people, including 2684 Yi people and 26 Han people. The population density is 43.99 per square kilometer.

The township was established in September 1956, and the township government was waiting for Naituo village. In March 1958, the Township People's Committee was established. In April 1968, it was renamed letuo Township and a Township Reform Committee was established. In March 1974, it was converted into a commune. On July 12, 1981, the commune reform committee was changed into the management committee. At the end of the year, it was renamed HouBo Naituo commune. In 1984, the township system was restored and the township government was established.

On January 12, 2021, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish HouBo Naituo Township and establish HouBo Naituo town. The former administrative region of houbnaituo township is the administrative region of houbnaituo town. The people's Government of houbnaituo town is located at No. 30, laga street, wanilo village.

In 1990, the total agricultural output value of the township was 673500 yuan (287500 yuan for agriculture, 68300 yuan for forestry, 168500 yuan for animal husbandry, 149200 yuan for sideline and fishery); the area of cultivated land was 4624 mu, and the total grain output was 864000 kg. It mainly produces corn, potato, adopted son, walnut, pepper, apple and pear. There are 658 yellow cattle, 15 Buffalo, 39 yaks, 47 horses, 2334 pigs, 2091 goats and 2201 sheep. There are 1 bank credit union, 5 rural primary schools with 185 students, 1 health center and 1 medical staff in the township.
