Hougumo Village
Meigu County governs the township. Hougumo township was established in 1956, the commune was changed in 1974, and the township was restored in 1984. Located in the west of the county, 34 kilometers away from the county. The road is open. It has jurisdiction over 13 village committees, namely, hougumo, siganluo, juega, jiziliekou, alwajue, ahouwajue, baga, gebunaituo, Matou, shaxiluo, yiguoluo, pugeluo and shipuole. Township enterprises have building materials, ethnic crafts processing plants, which are famous for lacquerware, silver and copper jewelry, wooden wine and other ethnic crafts. Agriculture mainly produces corn, potato and buckwheat. Rich in quality pepper, walnut and pear. Cattle, horses, pigs and sheep are the main breeding industries.

Hougumo township is located in the west of Meigu County, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is bounded by Erqu and puliangzi in the west, adjacent to huozu Township in Yuexi County, Dianbu Township in the East, kalaiyigan Township in the South and Caihong Township in the north. The township government is located in sigkenaituo, 1688 meters above sea level, on the West Bank of lianzhalo River, next to niuhou highway, 34 kilometers away from the county seat. The rural terrain inclines from the East and west to the middle. Lianzhalo river runs through the middle. There are scattered small flat dams along both banks of the river, and some gentle slope terraces in the high mountains and the second half mountains. In the west, erquhepuliangzi is the highest, with an altitude of 3274m; in the south, the valley is the lowest, with an altitude of 1649m. The rural area is 33.22 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 6 villages, 33 groups, 712 households and 3068 people. There are 3067 Yi people.
Historical evolution
In May 1956, it was built in hougumo village. In October 1958, Jianxiang people's Committee. In December of this year, Kalai Yigan was incorporated into the city. The next year, the township government moved to wamojue. In 1967, the township government moved to kaleigan. In July 1968, the Township Reform Commission was established. In May 1972, it was divided into hougumo and Qianjin (kalaiegan). Hougumo Township revolutionary committee moved to the present station. The commune was established in April 1973. On July 12, 1981, the commune reform committee was changed into the management committee. In July 1984, the township system was restored and the township government was established.
On January 12, 2021, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish hougumo Township and establish hougumo town. The former administrative region of hougumo township is the administrative region of hougumo town. The people's Government of hougumo town is located at No.1 baga street, alebaga village.
present situation
In 1990, the total agricultural output value of the township was 932700 yuan (262800 yuan for agriculture, 89400 yuan for forestry, 353000 yuan for animal husbandry, 127500 yuan for sideline and fishery); the area of cultivated land was 4934 mu, and the total grain output was 1031000 kg. The main production of corn, potato, buckwheat, pepper, walnut, pear. There are 746 yellow cattle, 13 Buffalo, 29 horses, 3431 pigs, 2476 goats and 2253 sheep. There are 1 commercial purchasing and marketing group and 1 Bank Credit Union in the township, 2 rural primary schools with 128 students, 1 health center and 1 medical staff.
