Erhe township is under the jurisdiction of Meigu County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province.
Regional population
Erhe township is located in the west of Meigu county. It is adjacent to niuniuba Township in the East, zhuku Township in the south, kalaiyigan Township in the north, erquhe puliangzi in the west, and hajuebaga and Jiagu Township in Zhaojue County. The terrain is high in the West and low in the East, with the highest altitude of 3165 meters and the lowest altitude of 1900 meters. Mahaimuhe Township Office, 2200 meters above sea level. It is about 31 kilometers away from the county (no road). Total area. It has jurisdiction over 5 villages and 37 groups, including mahaimuhe, naizuku, gazuliekou, daluonaituo and daluonaiwu, with 820 households and 3284 people. All of them are Yi nationality. The origin of the name
The township was established in May 1956 and abolished in October 1958. The jurisdiction was divided into niuniuba and zhuku townships respectively. In December 1970, the original district was restored to the township system, renamed Yongxin Township, and the Township Reform Committee was established. In March 1974, it was converted into a commune. In July 1981, the commune reform committee was changed to the management committee. It's the end of the year. In July 1984, the township system was restored and the township government was established.
On January 12, 2021, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish Erhe Township and establish niuniuba town. The administrative area of the original Erhe township is the administrative area of niuniuba Town, and the people's Government of niuniuba town is located at No. 36 Erqian street, Erjie KAE village.
economic base
In 1990, the total agricultural output value of the township was 845500 yuan (344400 yuan for agriculture, 85200 yuan for forestry, 338900 yuan for animal husbandry, 77000 yuan for sideline and fishery); the area of cultivated land was 6653 mu, and the total grain output was 963000 kg. The main products are corn, potato, buckwheat, walnut and pepper. There are 766 yellow cattle, 12 Buffalo, 131 horses, 4337 pigs, 2030 goats and 3445 sheep. There are 1 commercial purchasing and marketing group and 1 Bank Credit Union in the township, 3 rural primary schools with 188 students, 1 health center and 1 medical staff.
