Jingyetexi township is located in the northeast of Meigu County, at the West foot of the middle section of huangmaogeng. It borders Gudui township of Leibo County in the East, heguluo Township and BAPU town in the south, xigansa Township in the West and Waxi Township in the north. With a total area of 61.13 square kilometers, the township is located in texi, 20 kilometers away from the county seat and 2600 meters above sea level.

Jingyetexi township is located in the northeast of Meigu County, at the West foot of the middle section of huangmaogeng. It borders Gudui township of Leibo County in the East, heguluo Township and BAPU town in the south, xigansa Township in the West and Waxi Township in the north. With a total area of 61.13 square kilometers, the township is located in texi, 20 kilometers away from the county seat and 2600 meters above sea level. Hemu highway passes through the countryside, and there are transit buses passing through the county. The rural terrain is complex, with high mountains and deep ditches, and the climate is cold. The West peak of shuzucailuo, which lies on huangmaogeng in the northeast, is 3697 meters above sea level, and the lowest point in the west is 2200 meters above sea level. Cultivated land and villages are mainly distributed in the area about 2700 meters above sea level. It governs 6 villages and 25 groups, including texi, Ezhi, Yiga, Dushi, Caizhu and shamanaitou, with a total of 649 households and 2959 people, including 2958 Yi people. The population density is 48.41 per square kilometer.

In June 1954, the jingyetexi Working Group entered texi village. In January 1956, jingyetexi township was established, which belongs to jingyetexi district. In October 1958, after the withdrawal of jingyetexi District, xigansa and Guohe villages in xigansa Township were included, and the people's Committee of jingyetexi township was established, and they were also included in haguyida district. On April 1, 1963, hagouyida district was abolished and transferred to BAPU district. In June 1968, the Township Reform Committee was established. In May 1972, xigansa and Guohe villages were assigned to xigansa township. In March 1974, jingyetexi commune was established. On July 12, 1981, the commune reform committee was changed into the management committee. In July 1984, the township system was restored and the township government was established.
Economic and social undertakings
In 1990, the total agricultural output value of the township was 664800 yuan (269300 yuan for agriculture, 66000 yuan for forestry, 238000 yuan for animal husbandry, 91000 yuan for sideline and fishery); the area of cultivated land was 6869 mu, and the total grain output was 761000 kg. Main production of potato, buckwheat, corn, wheat, pepper. There are 619 cattle, 8 horses, 3574 pigs, 833 goats and 2910 sheep. There are 1 commercial purchasing and marketing group and 1 Bank Credit Union in the township, 5 rural primary schools with 191 students, 1 township health center and 1 medical staff.
