Dongchen Township

Dongchen township of Xiangshan County is located in the middle of Xiangshan Peninsula, in the southern suburb of the county, near the East China Sea.

The first-class highway of the southern coastal line passes through the city. The newly built 100 meter wide Binhai Avenue in the central urban area of the county integrates Dongchen with the county. The newly developed 12 square kilometer Provincial Economic Development Zone is located in Dongchen, making Dongchen an important part of the central urban area. It has a total area of 57 square kilometers, a coastline of 18 kilometers, 20 administrative villages, 23066 people (in 2017), 11727 mu of cultivated land, 14000 mu of sea beach, 45383 mu of mountain forest, and a forest coverage rate of more than 41%.
