Wuliqing Township belongs to Yuexi County. It is located on Yuepu highway in the south of Yuexi County, at the junction of Labai and Gongmo Township in puxiong District in the East. It covers an area of 57.5 square kilometers, with a total population of 5700 and 1300 households.

General situation

Wuliqing Township borders on sugu Township in the south, Matou, Darui and Xinxiang in Zhongsuo District in the west, and erjue Township in Xiapuxiong District in the north, with an area of 57.5 square kilometers. It governs nine administrative villages and 27 groups, including Renhong, gaigu, Mazha, Wuli, zuwu, Gumu, Sila, Dazhi and Puti. It is a gathering Township mainly composed of Yi nationality, with a total of 1300 households and a population of 5700 people. The township government is stationed Wuli Village Group 2, 20 km away from the county.

Wuliqing township is located in the second half of the mountain, with the highest altitude in cheluoliangzi (2971 meters) and the lowest altitude in yiluoladahegou (1800 meters), with a relative elevation difference of 1170 meters. It mainly produces corn, potatoes, rice, buckwheat, apples, prickly ash, walnuts, etc. in 2007, the township had 10 party branches, 9 village committees, 10 Youth League branches, 1 primary school, 3 village level primary schools, 25 teachers and 12 students 900 students.

Historical evolution

On January 12, 2021, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish wuliqing Township and establish limatuo town. The former administrative region of Maza village in wuliqing township is the administrative region of Matou Town, and the people's Government of Matou town is stationed at No. 99-1, Dahe Road, Matou village. The administrative areas of the original wuliqing Township, such as gaigu village, Dazhi village, Gumu village, Puti village, Renhong village, Sila village, Wuli Village and zuwu village, are under the jurisdiction of Shugu town. Shugu Town People's government is located at No. 120, group 3, lepin village.
