Leqingdi township is located in the southeast of Yuexi County, 42 kilometers away from the county seat. It is adjacent to puxiong town in the East, Gongmo Township in the north, wapumo Township in Shugu District in the South and Shugu Township in the West. It is a Yi nationality concentrated township.

In December 2019, the people's Government of Sichuan Province agreed to abolish leqingdi Township and assign its administrative region to Gongmo Town, where the people's Government of Gongmo town is located at No. 18, Gongmo street, Gongmo village.

General situation

In 2007, the area under the jurisdiction of the township was 2967 hectares, with an average temperature of 13 ℃. At present, there are 4001.92 mu of cultivated land (3017.92 mu of land, 1083 mu of farmland) and 5130 mu of forest land (316.6 mu of returning farmland to forest). The township governs 7 villages, including Hanlin, DIGE, Qingdi, Waqu, Erpu, ZAPU and luoboke, and 19 villager groups, with a total number of 1465 households and a total population of 6201 people, including 6135 ethnic minorities, accounting for 99% of the total population.

The township is dominated by agricultural production, and the farming level of farmers is higher than that of other ethnic areas. The food crops include potato, corn, rice and buckwheat; the cash crops include apple, walnut, pepper, garlic and field vegetables; the animal husbandry is developed, mainly including pig, cattle, sheep and horse livestock and poultry breeding.
