Zhiermo township is under the jurisdiction of Zhaojue County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. In 1955, it was called zhiermo Township in wawang county. In 1960, it was transferred to Zhaojue County. In 1972, it was changed to zhiermu commune. In 1981, it was renamed zhiermo commune. In 1984, it was restored to township.

In December 2019, the people's Government of Sichuan Province agreed to abolish zhiermo Township and divide its administrative region into Guli town. Guli Town People's government is located at No. 92 longgou street, animi village.

Zhiermo township is located in the east of the county, 85 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 53 square kilometers and has a population of 3000. It has jurisdiction over four village committees, namely buserello, buse Shuzu, atulier and ajuzuo.

Zhiermo Township mainly produces corn, potato, buckwheat, sesame, sea pepper, peanut, Zanthoxylum, tung oil. It inhabits red panda, rock sheep, monkey and other wild animals. Rich in traditional Chinese medicine Fritillaria, Gastrodia elata, Aucklandia, Codonopsis, monkey knot, bird's nest.
