Siwo township is under the jurisdiction of Jinyang County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Siwo township was established in 1953, changed its name to Hongxing Township in 1968, changed to commune in 1972 and fosiwo Township in 1984.
In December 2019, the people's Government of Sichuan Province agreed to abolish Siwo Township and put its administrative area under the jurisdiction of nanwa Town, which is located at No. 9, Hongyan street, ter village.
Siwo township is located in the northwest of the county, 40 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 33.7 square kilometers and has a population of 2000. It has jurisdiction over four village committees, namely nibolo, zhalangu, Luogu and Siwo.
