Lihong township is under the jurisdiction of Huili County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Located in the southwest of the county, facing Yunnan Province across the Jinsha River, 111 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 63 square kilometers and has a population of 3000.

In December 2019, the people's Government of Sichuan Province agreed to abolish Lihong Township and put its administrative area under the jurisdiction of Lvshui Town, which is located in group 6 of Pingzhuang village.

Lihong township was under the jurisdiction of lvpu Township in 1950, Lihong township was set up in 1951, the commune was changed in 1958, and Lihong township was renamed in 1988. Li (XI) Li (Hong) highway passes through. It has jurisdiction over four village committees: changwanzi, Lima, shanglongtan and bengdi. The township enterprises in Lihong township have mining and agricultural machinery stations. Agricultural production of rice, corn, wheat, tobacco. Pig, cattle and black goat are the main breeding industries.
