Quyagong Township

Quyagong township is located at 99 ° 07 ′ - 99 ° 34 ′ E and 28 ° 09 ′ - 29 ° 10 ′ n. Located in Derong County, southwest of Sichuan Province, it is an arid valley of Jinsha River. It is connected with Batang and Xiangcheng counties of Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province in the north, Shangri La County of Diqing Prefecture, Yunnan Province in the southeast, and Deqin County of Diqing Prefecture, Yunnan Province in the southwest. It is located in the "Yading Nature Reserve" of Daocheng County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province and the "Shangri La tourist area" of Zhongdian County, Yunnan Province.

On June 17, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish quyagong township.

Quyagong township is located in the Western Sichuan Plateau, in the edge of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau.

Regional topography

Due to the effect of various geological internal and external forces since the Quaternary, the surface gradually uplifted and formed a typical closed Alpine Canyon landform. Jiaofeng knife ridge, narrow valleys, high mountains and steep slopes, mountains and rivers are north-south. The highest elevation is 5599 meters (the mountain is surrounded by Houshan mountain), and the lowest elevation is 1990 meters (by Jinsha River). The relative elevation difference is 3609 meters.

According to the geographical zonation, the climate belongs to the subtropical zone, and according to the climate region of China, it belongs to the plateau climate region (i.e. Kangdian climate region). From the local climate conditions of Derong County, due to the South Branch jet of westerly circulation and the climate control of the Indian Ocean, as well as the role of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau and many high mountain barriers, the Pacific climate has little impact, with the characteristics of large evaporation, sufficient sunshine, strong radiation, large temperature difference between day and night, various climate types and significant vertical changes.

Production characteristics

① In the production area of false second cropping area, there are 4500 mu of cultivated land, accounting for 5.46% of the total cultivated land, producing wheat, corn, highland barley, potato, pea, buckwheat, Yuangen and various vegetables.

② In the valley area below 2800 meters above sea level. It mainly produces wheat, corn and other economic crops and vegetables. The yield of economic crops is high, but there is no planting habit. The level of agricultural production is not high, and the area of medium and low yield is large. There are still 70% of medium and low yield fields need to be transformed.
