Niangu Township
Dege County governs the township. Before liberation, it was under the jurisdiction of Lincong chieftain. Niangu township was established in 1958, changed to commune in 1974, and resumed in 1984. Located in the northeast of the county, 248 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 394.93 square kilometers and has a population of 3475 (2017). It has jurisdiction over ruoda, Menda, niangu and WABA village committees. It is a semi agricultural and semi pastoral area, mainly producing highland barley and wheat. Livestock products mainly include meat, dairy products, fur, etc. Fir, spruce and alpine cypress are the main forest resources in the area.

Dege county is located in the northwest border of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province, southeast edge of Qinghai Tibet Plateau and East Bank of Jinsha River. Its geographical location is between 31 ° 24 ′ 12 ″ n to 32 ° 43 ′ 40 ″ E and 98 ° 12 ′ 25 ″ e to 99 ° 39 ′ 28 ″.
