Gengqing town

Dege County governs the town and is the seat of the county government. Located in the southwest of the county. It covers an area of 415.3 square kilometers and has a population of 12180 (2017). National Highway 317 passes through. Jurisdiction Chengguan, Hexi 2 neighborhood committee. The grand scale, well-equipped and well-organized dege school is located in the territory. Tangjia scripture hall of Gengqing temple, located in the Western Hills of the city, is one of the holy places for lamas to worship.

physical geography

From the hilly plateau area in Northwest Sichuan, queer mountain stretches across the county, belonging to the North Branch of Hengduan Mountain system and Jinsha River Valley. Rongmaioza, the main peak in the south, is 6168 meters above sea level, the highest point in the county, and the lowest point is maidianhekou at the junction of Southwest Jiehe and Baiban County, with an altitude of 2980 meters. Queer mountain divides the county into northeast and southwest. The northeast is high, the river valley is wide and flat, the soil is rich, and the paleoplanation surface is well preserved. The southwest is low, the river is deep, the height difference is wide, it is the high mountain canyon landform. There are more than 30 glaciers, many high mountains and lakes, and 30 peaks above 5000 meters above sea level. There are 12 tributaries of Yalong River, such as Baqu and Yuqu. Jinshajiang River is the boundary river in the west, with five tributaries, such as non-ferrous Qu and maiqu. It is a continental monsoon plateau climate with dry air, low temperature and long winter without summer. The annual average temperature is below 0 ℃ in the northeast, 6.5 ℃ in the southwest, and - 2.8 ℃ in January and 14.5 ℃ in July. The annual precipitation is 611.3 mm, the frost free period is 83 days, and the average annual sunshine is 2051 hours. the territory is rich in natural resources, with more than 20 kinds of mineral deposits and 36 mineral occurrences, mainly including copper, lead, zinc, nickel, tin, tungsten, gold, silver, etc. There are 866100 mu of forest area, 15.16 million cubic meters of standing trees, including fir, cypress, birch and other trees. There are many animal resources such as bear, leopard, white lipped deer, roe deer, argali sheep, lynx, marmot, white eared pheasant, fritillary hen and so on. It produces more than 960 kinds of animal, plant and mineral medicinal materials, especially "eight black Cordyceps" and "Yulong rhubarb". The economy is dominated by animal husbandry, with 9.2984 million mu of land for animal husbandry. In 1990, there were 4290 head (piece) of herding livestock, which produced 2292 tons of meat, 9103 tons of milk, 34 tons of wool, 51 tons of yak hair and 38 tons of cashmere, with an output value of 17.52 million yuan (constant price in 1980, the same below). The crops are mainly highland barley and wheat. In 1990, the total grain output was 7192 tons, and the total agricultural output value was 28.01 million yuan. The average net income of farmers and herdsmen is 527 yuan. There are seven industrial enterprises, including electric power, automobile transportation, printing, etc., with a total industrial output value of 3.92 million yuan. Sichuan Tibet highway (National Highway 317) crosses the county from east to west. There is a provincial road MA (manigange) Shi (Shiqu) highway, passing through 3 townships in 1 District in the east of the county. There are 6 District and township roads and 8 forest roads, with a total length of 275 km. There are 9 posts and telecommunications offices, 694 km long postal routes, 10 telephone lines, 3 telegraph circuits, 165 telephone exchanges and 453 km long rural delivery routes. There are 206 state-owned, collective and individual commercial service outlets. The total retail sales of social goods was 14.78 million yuan. The total net purchase of state-owned commercial commodities was 3.14 million yuan, and the total net sales was 9.85 million yuan.
