Pangduo Township

"Pangduo" is a Tibetan translation, meaning "foothills". Pangduo township is located in Linzhou County, Lhasa City, Tibet. Pangduo township was set up in 1960, the commune was changed in 1970, and the township was restored in 1984. It is located in the south of the county, with an area of 85.59 square kilometers and a population of 4765 (2017). It has jurisdiction over 10 village committees, namely, kurutuo, zharet, Pangduo, Caise, Jiage, Naiqiong, Zilong, Ningbo, ribu and Rerong. Pangduo township is also rich in natural wild Rhodiola resources, which has not been transformed into economic advantages. In the past, middlemen bought Rhodiola in the countryside at a price of only 1.5-1.8 yuan / Jin. In order to increase the income of the masses, the Party committee and government of Pangduo Township, through the people's Armed Forces Department of the county, actively contacted the relevant departments in the district. The two sides signed a contract to provide 10 tons of Rhodiola crenulata directly to the relevant departments. The purchase price was 4 yuan / Jin. As the intermediate links were reduced, the masses got great benefits from it. In Pangduo Township and Pangduo village, Rhodiola alone increased cash income by more than 1000 yuan per household. In order to ensure the quality of Rhodiola, Pangduo Township also formulated measures to require the masses to clearly mark the name and weight of Rhodiola on the bags for centralized payment, and to investigate the responsibility of those whose products have quality problems.
