Chonggu Township
Chonggu township is under the jurisdiction of Luhuo County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Before liberation, it was under the jurisdiction of Zhuwo pacification department and Jue RI temple. Chonggu township is located in the northwest of the county, 56 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 35.92 square kilometers and has a population of 1948 (2017). National Highway 317 passes through. It has jurisdiction over six village committees, namely, kasha, JINDA, Chonggu, Deyi, ADU and Gongru.
Historical evolution
In 1956, it was established as an ancient township; in 1961, it was changed into a commune; in 1984, it was restored.
economic development
Chonggu Township mainly produces highland barley, wheat and pea. The sarcophagus tombs in the territory belong to the tombs of the ancient Qiang people between the Warring States period and the Western Han Dynasty.
