Pengbuxi township is a township under the jurisdiction of Kangding City, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Located in the southwest of the city, 82 kilometers away from the city. It covers an area of 428 square kilometers and has a population of 2947 (2017). Ying (Guan) Jiu (long) highway passes through here.

On December 23, 2019, with the approval of Sichuan Provincial People's government, it is agreed to cancel pengbuxi Township and jiagenba Township and establish jiagenba Town, with the former administrative region of pengbuxi Township and jiagenba township as the administrative region of jiagenba town.

Historical evolution

Pengbuxi township was established in 1957; Qianwei commune was changed in 1966; pengbuxi commune was renamed in 1975; and the township was restored in 1984. on December 23, 2019, with the approval of Sichuan Provincial People's government, it is agreed to cancel pengbuxi Township and jiagenba Township and establish jiagenba town. The administrative area of jiagenba town is the administrative area of the former pengbuxi Township and jiagenba Township, and the people's Government of jiagenba town is located at No.1 Muya Road.

History of ancient blockhouses

Pengbuxi ancient blockhouse is located in pengbuxi Township, Kangding city. It is known as "Oriental pyramid". According to historical records, it was built in the 17th year of the Yuan Dynasty and has a history of several hundred years. Pengbuxi ancient watchtower was born in the Tibetan village, and the Tibetan village exists because of the watchtower. They blend with each other, interpenetrate with each other, and form an organic whole. The Diaolou has a flat roof. Each floor is paved with small logs, on which firewood is used to spread intensively. On the firewood, branches are used, and then yellow mud is spread. After hammering, it is about ten feet thick. According to the situation, it is inclined, and the rainwater is diverted by holes and grooves. This kind of building is strong and fire-resistant, some of which have been built for hundreds of years and will not collapse. Its building materials are generally local stones, schists and yellow mud. The Diaolou not only has beautiful appearance, but also has solid walls.
