Chonger Township

Chonger township is a township under the jurisdiction of ruogi County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Chonger Township People's government is located on the northeast edge of Ruoergai County, bordering Diebu County, Gansu Province, 127 km from Ruoergai County, which has five administrative villages, 21 natural villages, and 2911 people in the whole township (2017).

In december2019, the people's Government of Aba Prefecture decided to cancel Chonger township.

Recently, through the support of industrial development projects, 240 cows were purchased from Minxian County, Gansu Province, with the value of 720000 yuan. The rural areas jointly establish rules and regulations, and each feeder household shall pay the management fee every year to strengthen the collective economy. Through the implementation of the project, the surplus labor force in some rural areas has been effectively transferred, the single economic growth mode which used to rely on transportation and extensive agriculture and animal husbandry has been changed, and the collective economy has been further strengthened, and the new socialist rural construction has been injected with vitality.
