Shanba Township
Shanba township is a township in the north of Songpan County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province.
In December 2019, the people's Government of Aba Prefecture decided to abolish Shanba township.
General situation
Shanba township is located in the northeast of the county, 20 kilometers south of Jin'an Town, Songpan county. Songpan Nanping highway passes through. It has jurisdiction over five village committees, namely, Shanba, Mayi, Shangmo, Changgou and Jianpei.
Historical evolution
Hongxing township was established in 1956, the commune was changed in 1973, and the township was restored in 1984. in December 2019, the people's Government of Aba Prefecture decided to abolish Shanba township.

economic development
Shanba Township mainly produces highland barley, wheat and broad bean. The grassland resources are rich, so it is suitable to develop animal husbandry. There is placer gold in the deposit. There are rare animals such as red deer, Swertia deer, blue sheep and precious Chinese medicinal materials such as Fritillaria, musk and pilose antler.
