Baiwan Township
Baiwan township is under the jurisdiction of markang County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is located in the southwest of the county, 33 kilometers away from the county, with an area of 263.26 square kilometers and a population of 2575 (2017). National Highway 317 passes through. It has nine village committees, namely, seli, Jiada, muerji, Shiguang, raoba, yingguoluo, dashidang, Wengu and nianke. Baiwan township was established in 1956, changed to Baiwan commune in 1966, and restored to Baiwan Township in 1984.

Baiwan township is located in the northwest of Sichuan Province, China. Malkang town is the transportation and trade center of Northwest Sichuan. In 1958, the government of the prefecture moved here, becoming the seat of the people's Government of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture. Chabao river originates from DAQINGPING in the north of suohemo Township, and flows into jiaomuzu River from east to west at longtoutan, with a length of 67 km. The jiaomuzu River (maerqu River and caodeng River) originates in Bama County, Qinghai Province. It flows from aba county to the northwest. After the confluence of Kerin and Duke River, it flows into Jinchuan county through dangba, with a length of 124 km. The main climate features are: obvious dry rainy season, unclear four seasons, no summer in most areas, abundant sunshine, large temperature difference and strong wind in dry season. The annual average temperature is 8-9 ° C, the annual rainfall is about 753 mm, the sunshine is more than 1500 hours, and the absolute frost free period is about 120 days.
