Fenbi town is located in the northwest of Pingchang County, Bazhong City, Sichuan Province, 44 kilometers away from Pingchang county. It borders Sima town in the East, Shu'an Township in the south, zengkou town in Bazhou District in the West and Shuining town in Bazhou District in the north, with a total area of 29.47 square kilometers. The town has a total of 8 administrative villages, 1 community neighborhood committee and 62 agricultural production cooperatives, with a total of 13800 people (including 12700 agricultural population and 1100 non-agricultural population). The existing cultivated land area is 12900 mu, with 1 mu of cultivated land per capita.

The people's Government of Sichuan Province recently issued the "reply on agreeing to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Pingchang and Nanjiang counties", agreeing to abolish Yuanshi Township, Fenbi Township, Shutan Township and Gaofeng Township in Pingchang County, and establish Yuanshi Township, Fenbi Township, Shutan Township and Gaofeng township; abolishing gaota Township, Fengyi Township, Xingma Township and Guanmen Township in Nanjiang County, and establishing gaota Township, Fengyi Township, Xingma Township and Guanmen township Town.
