Caochi Township

Caochi Township, located in the northwest of Tongjiang County, Bazhong City, Sichuan Province, is 22 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to chijiang River in the East, Daxing and torch in the south, Huilin Township in the west, Fuyang and Chenhe in the north. The township governs 6 administrative villages, 51 agricultural cooperatives, 6580 people (2017), covering an area of 36.8 square kilometers, with a forest coverage rate of 60%. The economy is dominated by planting and breeding, mainly producing rice, wheat, rape and other crops; the breeding industry is dominated by breeding pigs, cattle, sheep and small poultry.

On May 25, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish caochi township.

Caochi township is located in the northwest of Tongjiang County, 22 kilometers away from the county. It is located in the east longitude of 107  08 ′, north latitude of 32  0 ′. The economy is dominated by planting and breeding, mainly producing rice, wheat, rape and other crops; the breeding industry is dominated by breeding pigs, cattle, sheep and small poultry, with a total annual grain output of 3003 tons, including 397 tons of rape. There are 11104 live pigs, 616 cattle and 360 sheep. In 2004, the GDP was 20.9 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 1757 yuan.

It borders tianwuzi village in the South and hehegou village in the north. The whole village covers an area of 6 square kilometers. In 2005, 22.5 mu of rice field mushroom was identified with Bazhong food company, with a total output value of 135000 yuan. The average income is 1110 yuan.
