In Miaozhen
Miaozhen, a town under the jurisdiction of Shangsi County, Fangchenggang City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the west of Shangsi County, bordering Siyang town in the East, jiaoan Township, Hualan Township and Pingfu Township in the south, Nakan Township in Ningming County in the west, and Sifang mountain in Fuhuan County in the North. The administrative area of the town is 207.88 square kilometers.
In 1933, there were Miao Township and Fozi Township, belonging to Shangsi county. In 1962, it was set up in Miaozu. In November 1994, it was changed from zuimiao township to zuimiao town. In June 2005, Qimen township was withdrawn and merged into Yumiao town. By the end of 2018, 34909 people registered residence in Miao Town. As of June 2020, Miaozhen has jurisdiction over 1 community and 11 administrative villages. The town people's government is stationed in Miao village.
In 2011, the total financial revenue of Miaozhen was 59.5 million yuan, an increase of 50% over the previous year, and the per capita financial revenue was 1718 yuan. In 2018, there were 17 industrial enterprises in Miaozhen and 4 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In 1933, there were Miao Township and Fozi Township, belonging to Shangsi county.
In 1956, it was merged into the Second District of Shangsi, with jurisdiction over three townships of Fozi, Zaimiao and changdun.
In August 1958, the satellite commune was established.
In 1962, it was set up in Miaozu.
In 1966, Zai Miao district was changed into Zai Miao commune,
In October 1984, Zai Miao commune was replaced by Zai Miao township.
In July 1987, Miao township was divided into Miao Township and Qimen township.
In November 1994, it was changed from zuimiao township to zuimiao town.
In June 2005, Qimen township was withdrawn and merged into Yumiao town.

Most of Miaozhen is a piedmont plain. The terrain is slightly higher in the East and lower in the west, higher in the South and lower in the north. The ground elevation is generally 140-245 meters above sea level. The highest point is at the top of leisuofei mountain, which is 781 meters above sea level, and the lowest point is at namiao village, which is 134 meters above sea level.

Miaozhen has a subtropical monsoon climate, with an average annual sunshine hours of 1898.2 hours, an annual total solar radiation of 116.50 kcal / cm2, abundant light resources, an average annual temperature of 21.9 ℃, and an average annual rainfall of 1205.5 mm. With mild climate, moderate rainfall and long frost free period, it is one of the most suitable growing areas for all kinds of animals and plants.
hydrology
Mingjiang River, the main river in Miaozhen, flows from east to west along the border with jiaoan township to Banlong village, longtiaodian, and flows through namiao village after confluence with gong'an river. The river is 12 km long and 4 km long.

History and culture
Because Miaozhen is close to the Ming River, it is often flooded. People set up a temple here to pray, which is called Tuo temple, which means water temple. Later, they built a village, which is called "Temple". In 1940, Tu, a well-known person in the polder, changed "zhaimiao" to "Zai Miao". Because the town government is located in Miaowu.
