Piwo Township

Piwo township is located in the northeast of Wanyuan, 30 kilometers away from the city government. It is located in the North-South climate crisscross point of the country. It is located in the watershed of Hanjiang River and Jialing River. It is connected with Zixi, Miaopo and Lishu in Wanyuan, and borders Zhenba and Ziyang in Shaanxi Province. Bailongdong is the birthplace of Houhe River Basin. The whole Township belongs to alpine landform, which is high in the north and low in the south. The lowest altitude is 860 meters, and the highest altitude is 2139 meters. It is one of the alpine mountain townships in the city. Covering an area of 51.06 square kilometers, it governs 4 administrative villages and 13 villager groups. National Highway 347 runs through the whole territory, with one central primary school, three village primary schools, one health center and four village clinics.

On June 12, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish Piwo township.

Walnut is moderate in size, thin in skin and full in flesh. It has developed into a fruit forest base of more than 3000 mu. tangerine is the main product of traditional Chinese medicine. The Municipal Bureau of science and technology has built a 15 mu female parent breeding garden of Citrus reticulata in Zhaojiahe, which has promoted the rapid development of traditional Chinese medicine. The planting area of traditional Chinese medicine in Zhaojiahe reaches 3000 mu. The main products of animal husbandry are BanJiao goat and live pig. At present, there are 5 large households with more than 100 sheep and 4 large households with more than 100 pigs. The annual number of live pigs and BanJiao goats are 4000 and 1000 respectively. virus free potato is the main product of potato planting. Wanyuan municipal government has built a new 1000 mu demonstration planting base of Virus-free Potato in Zhaojiahe, which has promoted the large-scale planting of the whole township. The potato in the area under its jurisdiction has high starch content and good taste, and is loved by the public. Its annual export to Guang'an, Chongqing and other places exceeds 1000 tons. The annual output of honey is 8 tons, and the output value is nearly 1 million yuan.
