Fengtong township is located in the southeast of Wanyuan City, 70 kilometers away from the urban area, and at the junction of Chongqing Chengkou and Xuanhan County, covering an area of 86.48 square kilometers. It governs 4 villages, 47 villager groups and 2980 people (2017). The cultivated area is 4176 mu, including 143 mu of paddy field. In 2005, the township's GDP was 9.15 million yuan, an increase of 6.53% over the previous year, and the total rural economic income was 8.65 million yuan. In 2006, the GDP of the whole township was 9.95 million yuan, and the per capita GDP was 2850 yuan. Fengtong township is located in mysterious 31 degrees north latitude, with an average altitude of 1700m. It is surrounded by mountains and densely covered with primeval forests. It is rich in Gastrodia elata, Codonopsis pilosula, Angelica sinensis, Radix Polygoni Multiflori, papaya and other traditional Chinese medicine. Beehive honey has a history of more than 1000 years. The beehive is placed in a natural cave, and the traditional beekeeping method in the forest is adopted. The beehive honey is highly praised as medicinal honey. The Ministry of agriculture granted the "beehive honey" national agricultural products geographical mark protection product on May 2, 2012. corn and potatoes are the main food crops, while traditional Chinese medicine and agricultural natural products such as "bee barrel honey, bamboo shoots, rock beans, black sunflower" are the main economic backbone projects. At present, the area of traditional Chinese medicine is 6600 mu (Dalizi, rhubarb, papaya), with an annual output of 180 tons and an output value of more than 1.6 million yuan. In 2005, the total grain output reached 3.1 million kg, and the total income of rural economy was 8.65 million yuan.
