Kalayagaqi township is located in the east of Yining County, Yili Kazak Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, adjacent to awulia Township in the East, wenyar Township and Wugong Township in the south, Yuzi Township in Turpan, Panjin Township and dadamutu Township in Turpan, Yining City in the west, Bole City in Bortala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture in the north, with a total administrative area of 1145.4 square kilometers.

In January 1987, karayagaqi township was built. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of the 12045 people was in the village of the city. In 2019, kalayagaqi township has five administrative villages.

History of construction

In January 1987, the township was established, with kalayagaqi village in Panjin township of Yining City, jilgelang village in Yuzi township of Turpan County of Yining County, kazanqi village in Yuzi township of molotohuti County, and oymanbulak village in the former No.2 ranch of Yining County.
