Xiwai town

Xiwai town is subordinate to Tongchuan District, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province. It is 2km away from the Municipal Center of Dazhou City, covering an area of 22.39km2 (2017), and is distributed in two points and one line. After the zoning adjustment in November 2002, the town has jurisdiction over 2 administrative villages, 8 communities, 50 neighborhood groups, 17 party branches of organs, communities, enterprises and institutions, and 54 enterprises and institutions under the jurisdiction of the central, provincial, municipal and district governments.

Qing Dynasty belongs to Qingfeng township. The town was built in 1912. Xiwai township was established in 1950. It was divided into Xiwai Township, Qiujia Township and gexi Township in 1953. It was changed into Xiwai commune in 1958, township in 1984 and town in 1988. In 1996, it covers an area of 42.1 square kilometers and has a population of 61000. It has jurisdiction over 17 administrative villages including liaojiawan, bolinkou, zaojiaoya, Fenghuang, xinzhuangfang, qiujiadian, shilianhua, Gaofeng cave, Wulidian, Baimiao, Tatuo, Longcan, Changling, pujiazui, Jinshan Temple, Xihe and longjiamiao, and 7 neighborhood committees including mafangba, tuanbaoliang, longzhaota, Jinshan Road, Xixing Road, Nanjiang road and sihetou meeting.
