Historical evolution

On May 18, 2015, the people's Government of Jiangsu Province agreed to cancel Xucheng town in Xuyi county. Taihe District, Youfa district and Maoying District of Xucheng town were merged with the six villager groups of Mangang village committee and Taoyuan Village Committee of Weiqiao Township, the six villager groups of Tuanjie village committee of mudian Township and Santang village committee of Gusang township. Taihe Street Office of Xuyi county was set up. The street office is located on the 7th and 8th floor of Xuyi enterprise service building. Taihe Street covers an area of 44.8 square kilometers and has a population of 79000. It manages three neighborhood committees and two village committees. In March 2016, with the approval of Xuyi county civil affairs bureau, it was agreed to cancel Santang village committee and Mangang village committee, and change the establishment of Santang community neighborhood committee and Mangang community neighborhood committee.
