Yankou town

Yankou town is the political, economic and cultural center of wusheng County and the seat of county-level departments. Located in the middle of wusheng County, it borders Shuangxing Township in the East, Jiuxian Township and Jiezi town in the south, Huafeng and Longnv towns across the river in the west, and gujiang and Mingzhong townships in the north. Guangan is 40 km to the East, Suining 70 km to the west, Nanchong 86 km to the north, Chongqing 100 km to the south, and more than 70 km of rural roads in the town. The 1000 ton fleet reaches Chongqing and Nanchong directly. In 2014, it was selected as a national key town.

On December 11, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the adjustment of administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Guang'an City (cfzm [2019] No. 16): the old counties and townships were abolished and their administrative areas were put under the jurisdiction of Yankou Town, and Yankou Town People's government was stationed at 248 Qingping street.

In 1953, the government of wusheng County moved from central town to Yankou town (from June 1953 to August 1981, genghu Chengguan town). In 1987, Yankou township was merged into the town. In 1992, Taishan and Zhongtan Township were merged into the town.
