Guansheng town

Guansheng town is located in the southeast of Guang'an District, Guang'an City, Sichuan Province, adjacent to Zhongqiao street and Wansheng street in the West and North, CHUANSHI town in the South and Qujiang River in the East. The people's Government of Guansheng town is located at No.1 Wufang street, 7 km away from the people's Government of Guang'an City.

Historical evolution

The origin of town name

As for the origin of Guansheng, it is recorded in the annals of Guang'an District (1986-2005 Edition): in the Qing Dynasty, Guansheng town got its name because it was born here with convenient water transportation and prosperous market. However, after interviewing many old people in Guansheng Town, I found that the saying is far fetched. The origin of Guansheng's name should be a mystery, and no one can tell why. There is an old street in Guansheng town called Guanxi street. From the mouth of the local old people that before liberation, there was a township government, known as Guansheng township. After reading the annals of Guang'an Prefecture and the new Annals of Guang'an Prefecture, people find that the name "guanxi" has a long history. It has existed since the reign of Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty, and has not changed its name until the reign of emperor Xuantong. In Guansheng Town, there is another saying that "guanxi" was renamed "Guansheng" because there was an official named Chen Guansheng. After all, in the Qing Dynasty and before the Qing Dynasty, there was hardly an official at or above the county level in Guansheng town. If Chen Guansheng was really a county magistrate, it must be the pride of Guansheng town. People changed the name of Guanxi to Guansheng in memory of Chen Guansheng. At least, in exploring the reason why Guanxi changed its name to Guansheng, Chen Guansheng's theory can be used as an option.

Division evolution

In 1908, Guangan Prefecture set up Mingyue township (now Mingyue Town, Huaying City).

In 1913, Guang'an Prefecture was renamed Guang'an County.

In 1921, Guang'an County changed the original seven townships into 33 townships (towns), and Mingyue township was established as Guansheng township.

In 1958, the Township People's Government restructured the rural people's commune (referred to as "commune"), and Guansheng township was changed into Guansheng commune.

In 1984, the township system was restored, and Guansheng commune was changed back to Guansheng township.

In 1992, Guansheng township was abolished and Guansheng town was established.

In 2013, Guansheng town was included in the planning and construction of Guansheng new area.

In 2019, Fangping Township and Hualong township will be abolished, and their administrative areas will be put under the jurisdiction of Guansheng town. The people's Government of Guansheng town is located at No. 1 Wufang Street (the former resident of Fangping Township People's Government).

General situation of the town

Guansheng town is located in the southeast of Guang'an District, Guang'an City, Sichuan Province, 7 kilometers away from the seat of Guang'an municipal government. The town governs 40 communities (villages) and 337 resident groups (villager groups), with an area of 73.1 square kilometers and a total population of 52600 (2017).

Guansheng town has complete infrastructure and perfect functions. Every village in the town is connected with highways. Shanghai Chengdu expressway, Yinchuan Kunming Expressway and Guang'an Luzhou Expressway crisscross through Guansheng town. No. 12 and No. 16 buses entered Guansheng town and were opened to traffic on February 12, 2018; program controlled telephone and cable TV network spread throughout the town, and wireless communication covered the whole town. It has a tap water supply station with a daily treatment capacity of 50 cubic meters, which effectively guarantees the farmland water conservancy and drinking water for human and livestock. Social undertakings are booming. There are 1 junior middle school, 3 central primary schools, 4 village primary schools with 1320 students, 3 health centers with 15 employees and 1 family planning service station in the town. There is a sound social security system, one welfare home run by the town, and a strong insurance capacity of minimum living allowance, five guarantees and endowment insurance.

Since February 2014, Guansheng New District has successively started the construction of Guansheng spring, shengshifangting and Qianjin beautiful home with a total investment of 1.4 billion yuan, an area of 280 mu, a construction area of 700000 square meters and more than 5000 resettlement houses. Guansheng spring and Shengshi fangting have been fully completed and put into use, 4116 resettlement houses have been allocated, and 14400 relocated people have moved to new houses. At the same time, in June 2017, the construction of Qianjin beautiful home, which covers an area of 71 Mu and has a construction area of 170000 square meters and can accommodate 1476 households, was started and completed in 2020.

Guansheng town is rich in resources, with 510 hectares of land and 300 hectares of woodland.

The terrain of Guansheng town is north-south, high in the north and low in the south. It belongs to deep Hill landform. The dry land is mainly converted from farmland to forest, and the vegetation is rich.

Guansheng town is mainly engaged in planting and breeding, and its main products are grain, poultry and livestock, Huanghua pear, pomelo, navel orange and other famous and special economic fruits and high-quality vegetables serving the city.

Fangping area has more than 13267 mu of arable land, including 7274 mu of farmland and 5993 mu of soil. Rice is planted in agricultural production, and more than 8000 mu of famous, excellent and special fruits and medicinal materials are planted by using the policy of returning farmland to forest.

Hualong area has 14700 mu of cultivated land, including 150 mu of willow orchard, 85 mu of celery, brown plum garden, 7500 mu of gardenia, and more than 700 mu of Dendrocalamus latiflorus.

Guansheng town and Huaying City face each other across the Qujiang River. The Qujiang River flows through 17 villages in the town, with natural landscapes of Chaoyang cave and Bijia mountain. There are not only the hero village which successfully fought against the yuan army many times in the Southern Song Dynasty, but also the Qipanshan Mountain where the immortals played chess with each other for a long time, and the Liangdong cave which is built with all stones and rare in China. The 25 km Qujiang river meanders around, forming three peninsulas of Fenghuang, Furong and Dong'an. The 7-square-km Fenghuang mountain is located in the center, with vertical and horizontal gullies and distinct levels, forming an ecological pattern of relying on mountains and rivers.
