KAIFO town

KAIFO town is located in the north of Changning County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province, covering an area of 33.88 square kilometers. It governs 8 administrative villages, 3 rural communities (i.e. Macun community, Fuli community, Yangwu community), 1 Community Neighborhood Committee (falai community), 87 villager groups and 3 resident groups, with a total of 10907 people (2017). It has a national AA level scenic spot, a national agricultural tourism demonstration site, and "Emei sister mountain" - Mount falai. It is a vertical part of songjiaba industrial concentration area, a provincial key industrial park.

On August 29, 2019, Yibin City adjusted the administrative divisions of some towns, abolished KAIFO Town, and put its administrative area under the jurisdiction of Changning Town, where the people's Government of Changning town was stationed at 305 Chengxi road.

KAIFO town is located in the northern suburb of Changning County, Yibin City. Provincial highway 308 (Changning Jiang'an highway) and Qiaojiang River, a tributary of the Yangtze River, run through the whole town from south to north. The seat of the town government is only 6 kilometers away from Changning County. You can get to Changning County by bus in a few minutes.

Main attractions

Mount Flemish, known as "little Emei" in ancient times, is a famous Buddhist resort in Southwest China. According to the annals of Changning County, a Buddhist temple, Ximing temple, was built on the mountain in the Tang Dynasty. During the orthodox period of the Ming Dynasty, jingmiaoduo monks rebuilt the village. Changning people, Zhengtong years list eye, the Ministry of rites Shangshu, Prince Shaobao Zhou Hongmo wrote "the restoration of the Western Ming Temple.". The Jiaqing edition of Sichuan general annals says: "it is as famous as the temples of Emei. It was rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty and reached its peak in the Qing Dynasty." In recent years, the folk people in Changning have donated money to build the Temple group of Ximing temple, which reappears the glory of the past.

Buddha mountain is not only a famous Buddhist mountain, but also a flower and fruit mountain. In addition to a ginkgo tree more than 1000 years old, there are more than 30000 pear trees more than 100 years old, more than 10000 mu of high-quality sweet pears, and registered the "Buddha pear" brand. Cherry, loquat, persimmon, grapefruit and other seasonal fresh fruits are more than 3000 mu. Throughout the year, Mount Buddha is a sea of flowers and a world of fruits.

Today, in 2002, as a "national AA tourist attraction" and "national agricultural tourism demonstration site", mount falai has successfully held "pear flower festival" and "fruit tasting Festival" for 11 consecutive years, which is one of the "top ten rural tourism routes in Sichuan Province". In 2011, it received 300000 tourists and achieved a total tourism income of 23 million yuan. "Enjoy pear blossom, view Buddha Temple, taste Buddha pear, eat local dishes, experience folk culture" has become the most characteristic brand of rural tourism in KAIFO town. The county Party committee and the county government have listed the folaishan scenic spot as a national AAAA scenic spot and incorporated it into the government's planning. Sichuan Provincial Tourism Planning and Design Institute has been invited to carry out the overall planning and passed the preliminary examination. After the approval of the planning, the comprehensive construction can be carried out, striving to become a national AAAA scenic spot in 2014. It is expected to receive more than 800000 tourists annually and the total tourism revenue will exceed 100 million yuan.

Honorary title

In July 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to name KAIFO town as a national health township for the period of 2017-2019.
