Sichuan Chuantou Emei ferroalloy (Group) Co., Ltd., formerly known as Emei ferroalloy plant, was approved by the state in 1964. In 1998, with the approval of Sichuan Provincial People's government, the company became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sichuan Provincial Investment Group Co., Ltd. with assets of 50 billion yuan. At the same time, the company, together with Jiayang coal mine and Jiayang power plant, successfully constructed the "coal power metallurgy" industrial chain with Sichuan investment e'tie company as the leader, so that the company has a stable and reliable power resource advantage

The company is one of the six key backbone ferroalloy enterprises in China. In 1996, it was listed as 512 enterprises supported by the state. It is one of the 1588 large enterprises in China, and the first batch of 520 "contract abiding and trustworthy" enterprises in China. The company is now the president unit of China ferroalloy industry association. With the right of independent management of import and export, it is the export base of Sichuan Province. Since the restructuring of the "coal power metallurgy" industrial chain, the company's indicators have shown a significant growth trend year by year. In 2004, compared with 1998, the output of ferroalloy increased by 5.19 times, the sales revenue increased by 6.2 times, the foreign exchange earned by export increased by 5.02 times, the profit increased by 60 times, and the tax paid increased by 5 times. For many years, it has been awarded the title of "the largest profit and tax household in Leshan City" by Leshan Municipal government. The company's profit, total industrial output value, sales revenue, export earnings, taxes and other comprehensive technical and economic indicators ranked in the forefront of the national ferroalloy industry, export earnings ranked 12th in the national iron and steel industry, ranked 114th in the national export earnings, and ranked 5th in the province. In 2005, the company ranked among 1000 large industrial enterprises in China and 38th in Sichuan Province. the "Emeishan brand" ferroalloy series products produced by the company are indispensable basic raw materials for iron and steel industry. The company has rich production experience and strong technical force, and has 18 sets of advanced ferroalloy professional production equipment, which can produce more than 20 varieties of silicon, manganese, tungsten, vanadium, titanium, chromium, molybdenum and other series. The designed annual production capacity is 120000 tons, and the actual production capacity is 220000 tons. In 2002, the company passed the ISO9001:2000 quality system version. The two new products of high silicon manganese silicon and high manganese manganese silicon are listed as high-tech products by the Ministry of science and technology of the people's Republic of China. Ferrotungsten and silicomanganese alloy have been rated as famous brand products in Sichuan Province. Ferrosilicon, ferrovanadium, vanadium pentoxide, carbon ferromanganese and carbon ferrochromium are respectively excellent products of the Ministry and the province. The company's products are of good quality and good after-sales service, which has won the trust of customers at home and abroad. In addition to being sold to major domestic iron and steel enterprises, more than 50% of the products are exported to more than 20 countries and regions such as Japan, the United States, Germany, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Brazil and Taiwan, earning more than US $40 million in foreign exchange annually.
