Dawusu Town, belonging to the new forest region of Daxing'anling region in Heilongjiang Province, is located in the west of the new forest region, on the north side of yilehuli mountains, adjacent to Xinlin town in the East, Xinlin town and Hongtu town in the south, Huzhong District in the West and bizhou town in the north. In 2018, the area was 821.50 square kilometers, and the registered residence was 3631.

In 1958, dawusu forest farm was built. In 1965, it belonged to Xinlin Forestry Company. In 1967, it was renamed Lixin forest farm, belonging to the new forest area (Forestry Bureau). In 1970, it was renamed dawusu forest farm. In April 1987, dawusu town was established.

In October 2019, dawusu town governs a community in dawusu.

In 2018, there was one industrial enterprise in dawusu town.
