Yanfeng town is a town under the jurisdiction of Mabian Yi Autonomous County in Sichuan Province. It is located in the southwest of the county and is a pure Yi Town.

geographical position

Yanfeng town is located in the southwest of Mabian Yi Autonomous County, adjacent to Suba town in the East, Meigu County in Liangshan Prefecture in the west, gaozhuoying Township in the south, shaqiang Township in the north and meiziba Township in the north. The highest altitude is 3526.6 meters and the lowest altitude is 600 meters. The climate is warm and humid, and the forest coverage rate is 51.2%. Yanfeng town government is located at the foot of Yanfeng mountain in Yanfeng village, 25 kilometers away from Mabian county.

Historical evolution

In 2014, after approval by the Sichuan Provincial People's government, the Ma Autonomous County of Yi Nationality Autonomous County revoked the destructed opium peak Township and established the administrative area of the original Su Ba township.

Regional population

It has jurisdiction over one community, four villages and 37 Village (inhabitant) groups. It is a pure Yi inhabited town. total population 10948 (2017).

Economics

Agriculture is mainly corn, rice, potato and tea; forestry is mainly Chinese fir, Cryptomeria fortunei, Qianzhang and other commercial timber forest, natural bamboo shoots and artificial walnut; animal husbandry is mainly pig, cattle, sheep and chicken.
