Liulinzhou street is a combination of the former liulinzhou town and the former Xicheng sub district office. It is located in the central area of Junshan District, Yueyang City, and connects with the first bridge of Yueyanglou district on the west side of Dongting Lake Bridge in the East, Dongting Lake dike in the south, Junshan island across the Lake, Jianxin farm dike in the west, Yangtze River Dike in the north, and Chiba town in Jianli County, Hubei Province. The total area of the street is 205.35 square kilometers, with 5182.45 hectares of arable land, including 2056.49 hectares of paddy field, 2511.3 hectares of dry land, 199 hectares of fishing ponds, 166.4 hectares of orchards and 967.04 hectares of woodland. It has 17 administrative villages, 8 communities, 1 agricultural machinery station, 75 villager groups, a total population of 20671 households, 81261 people and 165 enterprises and institutions.

The construction of Hangzhou Ruizhou expressway, Jingyue railway, Yuechang expressway, Menghua railway and Junshan wind power plant will inject new vitality into the rapid development of liulinzhou street. on November 20, 2015, the office of Hunan Provincial Department of Civil Affairs issued the reply of Hunan Provincial Department of Civil Affairs on Approving the adjustment plan of township zoning in Junshan District of Yueyang City (Xiang Min Xing Fa [2015] No. 59), which agreed to combine liulinzhou town and Xicheng Street into an organic system and set up liulinzhou street. After the administrative division adjustment, liulinzhou Street governs 17 organic villages and 9 communities, with a total area of 214.7 square kilometers With a total population of 71100, the office is located in guakou community (formerly liulinzhou Town People's Government).
