Jiajiang County, Leshan City, Sichuan Province. It was originally Wu's hometown. In 1958, it merged with Sandong Township and Huang's hometown to form Wu's commune. In 1959, it was founded. In 1981, it was renamed Wuchang commune. In 1984, it was established in Wuchang township. In 1992, Yongqing township was merged into Jianzhen township. Located in the north of the county, 24 kilometers away from the county. The altitude is 425 meters.

From 2004 to 2008, the town mobilized the whole people to carry out a long-term national schistosomiasis control war through the implementation of agriculture, animal husbandry, health and other projects. By the end of 2008, the town had invested 8.77 million yuan in project funds, completed 6.91 million square meters of snail inspection area, 10.26 million square meters of repeated snail control area, and built 806 biogas digesters and 796 three grid septic tanks. We will change the water supply to the dry area of 2901 mu, raise fish and kill snails, build fish ponds of 49 mu, and build 514 new cattle farms. The water conservancy and schistosomiasis control project has completed 4400 meters of ditches on three sides, rural drinking water project, 717 wells in red beds, ensuring the clean water supply for 2290 people.

After the disaster occurred on May 12, 2008, the Party committee and government of Wuchang town attached great importance to it and took positive and effective measures. According to the unified deployment of the county Party committee and government, the affected farmers were immediately verified and confirmed, and actively coordinated with building material suppliers to help farmers solve the difficulties in purchasing steel, bricks and other building materials, thus speeding up the progress of rural housing reconstruction in the town after the disaster. By the end of 2008, 176 rural houses have been rebuilt and 110 have been completed.

In 2016, Wuchang town continued to provide coordinated services for Jinhui bathroom, Sofia, Everest, Rongdian, shilifeng and enterprises entering the park. The town confirmed the right to issue 20500 mu of land, and standardized land transfer procedures.

In 2016, the Jinniu river regulation project was completed, with 10 km of Village Road newly built and 5 km of poverty alleviation road in Wuyong Road, Bailong village and Longhua village put into use. New development of tea and precious tree plantations of 3000 mu each, built a high-quality grape base of 1000 mu, Bailong village built a citrus base of 1000 mu, the town piece by piece development of Chuanxiong planting area of more than 6000 mu, the formation of tea 10000 mu, grain and oil 10000 mu, industrial timber forest 20000 mu of three million mu base. There are 2650 sows in stock and 12852 fattening pigs in stock.

In 2016, the construction of Bailin village, a happy and beautiful new village, was completed by 90%, and the planning and design of Hongchuan village was completed. 11 towers of 110kV "Sanfeng line" have been constructed, and 90% of the existing installation works have been completed. The rural power network transformation of Baoling village has been completed, and the lines involving Bailong village and Longhua village are under construction. The 6.5km natural gas pipeline project in the industrial park is nearly completed, involving 19 communities in 7 villages.

In 2016, 357 rural households and 66 rural residents were provided with the minimum living insurance, and 13100 people participated in the medical insurance. We won and raised 2.6489 million yuan to help 34 people from 11 families out of poverty.
