It is a township level administrative unit under the jurisdiction of Daying County, Suining City, Sichuan Province, the people's Republic of China. It is a demonstration township of archives work in the construction of new socialist countryside in Sichuan Province. It is one of the social practice bases and quality education bases for college students of Sichuan Huaxin modern vocational college.

Zhishui township is located in the southwest of Daying County, Sichuan Province, 22 kilometers away from the county seat, covering an area of 15.9 square kilometers. It governs six administrative villages, including baijiaqiao village, liyujin village, xingsugou village, zhelongya village, Zhiping village and Zhishui (street) village, 76 agricultural cooperatives, with a total population of 5766 people (2017), and cultivated land area of 11043 mu. There are eight party branches and 276 party members in the township, including 235 rural Party members There are 19 retired party members and 20 village cadres. In 2010, the per capita net income of farmers reached 5377 yuan, the investment in fixed assets reached 73 million yuan, 4650 surplus labor were exported, and the labor output value reached 38 million yuan.

Zhishui township is located in the subtropical humid monsoon climate zone of the basin, with an average annual temperature of 17 ℃, frost free period of 290 days, sunshine of 1400 hours and an average annual rainfall of 780mm. The main ethnic groups are Han nationality, and the main agricultural and sideline products are rice, corn, sweet potato, cotton, rape, soybean, livestock and poultry, sericulture, fruits, etc.
