Tongshe town is a township under the jurisdiction of Shehong City, Sichuan Province. It was named after the "tongshechang" which originally belonged to Santai (Tongchuan prefecture) and Shehong County. Located in the northwest of Shehong City, it is adjacent to Fuxing town in the East, Jinhua Town in the south, Xiangshan town in the west, Qiulin town of Santai County and Gonghe township of Yanting County in the north. It covers an area of 48 square kilometers, 36 kilometers from the urban area. There are 9 central villages and 178 communities in the town, with a total number of 6950 households and a total population of 21800.

Tongshe town is named after tongshe field. From the Qing Dynasty to the early years of the Republic of China, the jurisdiction of tongshe town is now under the jurisdiction of Santai County (which was then attached to the first county of Tongchuan prefecture) and Shehong County (which was then located in Jinhua town), respectively under the jurisdiction of Santai Xuri township (located in qiulinyi) and Shehong Huaide township. In 1984, it was restored to Tongshe township. in 1992, tongshe town was established by merging tongshe and Jintang townships.
