Hongling town

Hongling town is subordinate to Xuanhan County, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province. In 2016, Hongling township was replaced by Hongling town. On June 12, 2020, Sichuan Provincial People's government decided to abolish Hongling town.

In December 2015, with the approval of the people's Government of Sichuan Province, Xuanhan County abolished Hongling Township and established Hongling town. Hongling town government is located at 108 Hedong street, Douling community. Hongling town is located in the southwest of Xuanhan County, 12.9km away from Xuanhan county. It covers an area of 38.92 square kilometers and has a population of 11061 (2017). Xuan (Han) Wei (Han) highway is connected with national highway 210. It has jurisdiction over 8 village committees and 1 neighborhood committee in Douling community, Songyan village, Gaodong village, Diema village, Doucheng village, jiewan village, Duoshi village, Wanqiao village and Maoping village. Hongling town enterprises have grain and oil processing, stone processing plants. The industrial development is dominated by nine leaf green pepper, walnut, green Crisp Plum and golden pear; the main agricultural products are rice, wheat and corn, as well as rape seed and tung oil. Cattle, pigs and poultry are the main breeding industries. there is the main river Gaodong River in Hongling town. The topography of the upper reaches is relatively gentle, with river faults formed from the middle and upper reaches. The height of the two banks and the valley bottom is more than 100 meters, forming a distinctive waterfall landscape. A small hydropower station is built next to it.
