Qushan town

Qushan town used to be the political, economic and cultural center of Beichuan County in Sichuan Province before the "May 12 earthquake" on May 12, 2008. After the earthquake, the town moved 2.5km southward, but the government of Beichuan county will relocate to Anchang town before 2020. On December 25, 2019, Anchang town was merged into Yongchang Town, and Beichuan county government has been stationed in Yongchang Town since. Before the destruction, the area was 122 square kilometers, with a total population of 24000. natural resources

There are abundant natural forest resources, complete varieties of forest tea, fruit, medicine, vegetables and other cash crops, and characteristic breeding has begun to take shape. In the whole year, a total of 764405 yuan of minimum living security fund was issued to solve 842 urban residents, 473 rural residents and 38 people supported by the five guarantees; 207606 yuan of medical assistance fund was issued to subsidize 120 people with serious illness; 17 poor and disabled families were supported to build houses, with a subsidy of 67200 yuan.

There are abundant mineral resources in the town. First, the silica in haiguang, Yunli, huangjiaba and Yanyang villages; second, the limestone in Renjiaping, Shiyi and Jingjia villages; third, the Shajin in Dengjia area; fourth, the high phosphorus soil in Shiyi village; fifth, the heavy gold stone in youfanggou village.

Beichuan County governs towns. Changlong township was established in 1911, Qushan Township in 1942, Chengguan town in 1953, Huilong Township in 1957, commune in 1958, Chengguan town in 1962 and Qushan town in 1981. It is located in the south of the county, with a population of 20000. Chengdu Qingchuan and Chengkou ABA highways meet here.
