Xiaoya Township

Xiaoya township is located at the junction of Zi, Jiang and Jian counties. In the north of Zitong County, it is adjacent to Wulian town of Jiange County in the East, Yanwu town in the south, Xuzhou town in the west, Xianfeng Township and Chongxing township of Jiangyou City in the north. It is 34.5km away from the county and covers an area of 35.68km2. The township has 8 villages, 53 communities and a population of 5472 (2017). The total cultivated area of the township is 8735 mu, including 5300 mu of farmland.

Xiaoya township is a typical agricultural township located in deep hills and valleys. The main food crops are rice, wheat and corn, while the main economic crops are hybrid seed production (rice and corn), rape, watermelon, pepper and peanut, which are also used for forestry, animal husbandry, sideline and fishery. Xiaoyachang

Xiaoyachang is located in the northwest of the city, bordering BAMIAO in Cangxi County in the East and North, Siyi in the West and zaobi in the south. Xiaoya is also named because it is located in Xiaoya mountain.
