Xiaoxi Street

Xiaoxi street, Gongjing District, Zigong City, Sichuan Province, is located on the East Bank of Xushui River, between Xushui River and Jinyu River, across the river from Gongjing street. It borders Ziliujing district and Da'an District in the East, Yantan District in the south, Changtu town in the West and Weiyuan County in Neijiang City in the north, covering an area of 4.8 square kilometers. Xiaoxi street is located in the political, economic, cultural and trade center of Gongjing. The CPC Gongjing District Committee, District People's government, District People's Congress, District People's Political Consultative Conference and other organizations such as workers, youth and women are located in the jurisdiction. The industry includes machinery, building materials, light industry and other enterprises. The commercial trade is relatively prosperous, there are many service industries, individual stalls are densely distributed, and the transportation is convenient. It is the transportation hub of Gongjing area.

Before the founding of the people's Republic of China

In 1939, Xiaoxi belonged to Shangqiu town and Fushun County. Zigong was under the jurisdiction of the city when it was established. In 1942, Shangqiu town was changed into Xiaoxi town. In December 1944, Xiaoxi town was transformed into the third district of Zigong City.

After the founding of the people's Republic of China

In February 1950, the three and four districts were merged into two districts, and Xiaoxi was under the jurisdiction of the two districts. In November 1953, Xiaoxi Street office was established. In 1982, with the approval of the municipal and district governments, Dongqiao, Santai and Shigou residents' committees under the jurisdiction of Shuangtang township (now Changtu town) were put under the jurisdiction of Xiaoxi street. In 1985, Xiaoxi street had 19 resident committees, 203 resident groups and a total population of 27926, including Yanma Road, Shengli lane, Xiaoxi street, qingganglin, Xiangyang Street, Tuanjie street, wujiapo, macaotang, ciba'ao, Xincun, Dongqiao, Santai, Shigou, qikuatian, Xinma Road, Dongfeng Road, Leigongtan, maokeshan and Xiaqiao. In 1988, the number of neighborhood committees in our street increased to 20 (New Yangjiaba) and the total population increased to 33795 in 1997. From June 2000 to July 2001, Dongqiao neighborhood committee and qingganglin neighborhood committee were handed over to Zigong Industrial Development Zone for management. In August 2001, Dongqiao neighborhood committee and qingganglin neighborhood committee were handed over to Xiaoxi street. In 2001, the new community neighborhood committees were established, including 11 communities, including ciba'ao, machaotang, Yangjiaba, Xinma Road, Xiangyang, Xiaqiao, Leigongtan, wujiapo, Dongfeng, Dongqiao and qingganglin, with 287 resident groups and a permanent population of 12806 households and 36900 people. In 2013, there were 13059 households with 37352 residents (2010).
