Wangshui town

Wangshui township is under the jurisdiction of Jianyang City, Sichuan Province. Wangshui township was established in 1935, changed to commune in 1958, and restored to township in 1984.

Wangshui township is located in the southwest of the city, 23 kilometers away from the city government. It covers an area of 35.66 square kilometers and has a population of 9237 (2017). The road is open. It has jurisdiction over eight village committees, namely wangshuisi village, Gaoqiao village, shiyansi village, Chenjiamiao village, taiyigou village, heishuisi village, banzhulin village and qinggangwan village.

economic development

Wangshui Township mainly produces rice, wheat, corn, sweet potato, cotton and rapeseed. Specialty tobacco is one of the tobacco bases of Sichuan cigarette factory. It is rich in citrus and watermelon. The breeding industry is mainly pig and goat. in recent years, wangshui township has launched a new agricultural industrial structure of "two melons and one pepper" (i.e. watermelon, pumpkin and sea pepper). Vigorously develop the rural economy.

Wufengshan Forest Park

It is located next to Laoying reservoir in wangshui Township, Jianyang City, 35 km away from Jianyang City. In the garden, the ancient trees are towering, the forest is luxuriant, the emerald vine is green, the birds are singing and the flowers are fragrant, and the scenery is beautiful. Rare plants, such as rootless vine, mandarin duck flower, bodhi tree and ancient ginkgo, are interspersed among them, not losing the ancient and primitive ecological features. Wufeng mountain covers an area of several square kilometers, surrounded by Laoying reservoir, the drinking water source of Ziyang City, with a water area of 3 square kilometers. The clear and transparent lake water and the simple and luxuriant mountains and forests constitute the cool realm of Taoyuan, which is also called "Forest Park" by Jianyang. Wufeng mountain has a strong cultural heritage. Built in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, Heishui ancient temple has preserved ancient Buddha statues and various inscriptions, attracting tens of thousands of tourists every year. Mysterious stories and legends such as Wufeng habitat, black water god bell, bengxian stone, black water altar, 24 golden locks and one ditch bring endless reverie to visitors.

Heishui Temple

Located in wangshui Township, Jianyang City, Heishui temple is backed by Wufeng mountain. In front of the temple, the Jiuqu River winds through the East, North and West. It rises 108 steps from the stream. The cliff on the left side of the mountain gate is engraved with three characters "Wufeng mountain". It was written by a scholar surnamed Zhou in 1855. Heishui temple, formerly known as Baoquan temple, was built in the Ming Dynasty. It is said that there is a well on the left of the temple and the spring is beautiful, so it is called Baoquan. In the 13th year of Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty, Heishui temple was expanded, but it got its name because there was a heishuituo in the Jiuqu River under the cliff on the right side of the temple. Wufeng mountain, also known as "Forest Park", covers an area of nearly two square kilometers. The Jiuqu River is surrounded on three sides and the water area is two kilometers long. The vegetation of Wufeng mountain has a history of hundreds of years. There is also a characteristic vine, yuanyangteng, which is also called rootless vine and xianteng. Its diameter is about 30-40 cm. It climbs up the cliff in the sky and is very spectacular.

administrative division

In December 2019, the reply to the request for instructions on the adjustment of administrative divisions of some townships (streets) in 15 districts (cities) and counties including Longquanyi District of Chengdu City cancelled wangshui Township and Leijia Township and established Leijia town. The administrative area of Leijia town is the administrative area of wangshui Township and Leijia Township, and the people's Government of Leijia town is located at 137 Yongfu street.
