On April 12, 2017, Pingbei town held the unveiling ceremony to officially change the name of Pingbei town from Manchu Township to Mongolian township. Su Yongmin, deputy secretary of the county Party committee, Zhang Yongzhi, deputy director of the county people's Congress, Wang Zhanjun, deputy head of the county, and Jiang Baowei, vice chairman of the CPPCC, attended the unveiling ceremony.

Su Yongmin pointed out: cottage from rural to town, marking the history of cottage turned a new page, development ushered in a new historical opportunity.
