Wangchu Street
Wangchu street, located in the south of Jiefang District, Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, starts from Tanan road in the East, borders zhongzhan District in the west, starts from Jiaozhi railway in the north and ends at high tech Zone in the south, with a total area of 16.03 square kilometers and a population of 58821 (2010).
Community profile
Wangchu Street governs 9 administrative villages (Dongyu village, Xiyu village, dongwangchu village, xiwangchu village, Xiaowangzhuang village, Xindian Village, Xinzhuang village, Shilin village, jiahetun Village) and 3 communities (zhannan, Chengdu Garden, Jinxiang garden). In the Ming Dynasty, xiabaizuo and xiaqin village had a piece of land as the dividing line, which was called Yidi. It was the custom of surnamed Wang to call each other Wangxi, and later formed Wangxi Village. Jiaonan commune was established in 1957, changed to liberated area commune in 1960, renamed Xindian commune in 1962, and changed to Xianfeng commune in 1968. In 1969, it was changed into Wang Yi commune, and in 1984, it was changed into township. In 1997, it covers an area of 8.5 square kilometers and has a population of 20000. It has jurisdiction over nine administrative villages: Dongyu village, Xiyu village, dongwangchu, xiwangchu, Xindian, Xinzhuang, Shilin, jiahetun and Xiaowangzhuang. In April 2003, Xinfeng community and zhannan community of Jiaonan street were put under the jurisdiction of Wangyi township. In November 2005, the township system was abolished and the sub district office was set up.
Community construction
Wangchu Street governs 9 villages, including Dongyu, Xiyu, Xiaowangzhuang, dongwangjie, xiwangjie, Xindian, Xinzhuang, Shilin and jiahetun, as well as zhannan community and Dushi Road community. It used to be a typical suburban street. In recent years, with the rapid development of economy, the city scale of Jiaozuo City continues to expand. Wangchu street, located in the junction of urban and rural areas of Jiaozuo City, has entered a new period of development. With the full implementation of "Jiaonan group" project, the centralized relocation of municipal Party and government organs to the south, and the full start of "south to North Water Diversion" project, wangchu street has gradually become the political and economic center of our city.
