Ruxi Town, subordinate to Zhongxian County, Chongqing City, is located in the north of Zhongxian County, adjacent to Yehe town in the East, tujing Township in the south, Jinsheng Township in the west, Shian town in Wanzhou in the north, 22 kilometers away from Zhongxian County Government, with a total area of 95 square kilometers.
In the Ming Dynasty, Ruxi town was called ruxili; on April 19, 1985, it was changed from Ruxi township to Ruxi town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Ru Xi Town was 45248. As of June 2020, Ruxi town has 4 communities and 10 administrative villages, and the people's Government of Ruxi town is located at 78 Jiankang Road, Zhenjiang community.
Ruxi town's food crops are mainly rice and wheat; animal husbandry is mainly raising pigs, cattle and poultry; industry is mainly building materials, machinery manufacturing and furniture. History of construction

In 1911, Ruxi township was established.
In 1921, it belonged to the eastern district. In 1930, it belonged to the fourth district. In 1931, it belonged to the third district. In 1935, the people's livelihood was jointly guaranteed. In the 25th year of the Republic of China (1936), it was the joint protection of Ruxi, belonging to the second district. In 1937, it was restored to Ruxi township. In 1940, it was transferred to the fourth district. In 1944, it returned to the second district. In 1946, it belonged to the fourth district.
In 1950, it was transferred to the third district.
In 1958, Ruxi township was changed into Ruxi commune.
In 1984, Ruxi commune was changed into Ruxi township.
On April 19, 1985, Ruxi township was changed into Ruxi town.
In September 1992, Baimiao Township and Jiuting Township were merged into Ruxi town.

In 2011, Ruxi town has jurisdiction over two communities of Zhenjiang and Xigou, 12 villages of Nanya, Longwan, Qishu, Sanhe, suokou, Baimiao, Laolin, Tuanbao, Mahe, Chang'an, Jiuting and Anshan, 14 resident groups and 108 villager groups.
As of June 2020, Ruxi town has 4 communities and 10 administrative villages: Zhenjiang community, Xigou community, Jiuting community, Baimiao community, Longwan village, Qishu village, Sanhe Village, suokou village, Laolin village, Tuanbao village, Mahe village, Chang'an village, An'an village and Nanya village. The people's Government of Ruxi town is located at 78 Jiankang Road, Zhenjiang community.
