Sanhuikou Township, belonging to Kaizhou District of Chongqing, is located in the northwest of Kaizhou District, adjacent to Tianhe town and Jiulongshan town in the East, Zhonghe town in the south, Kaijiang County and Xuanhan County in Sichuan Province in the west, Tianhe town in the north, 53 kilometers away from the people's Government of Kaizhou District, with a total area of 79 square kilometers.

In the northern and Southern Dynasties and the Western Wei Dynasty, Xiliu county government was set up in the area of sanhuikou township; in April 1984, Sanhui township was changed into sanhuikou township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of 20541 people was three. As of June 2020, sanhuikou township has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 8 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is located in Dashi community.

History of construction

In the northern and Southern Dynasties and the Western Wei Dynasty, Xiliu county government was set up in sanhuikou township.

In the late Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the fourth class of jiangliyi and Changxin.

After 1949, it was the Tenth District Sanhui township.

In April 1984, Sanhui township was changed into sanhuikou township.

In October 1992, Jinshan Township was merged into sanhuikou township.
