Jiudu Township

Jiudu township is subordinate to Du'an Yao Autonomous County, Hechi City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is located 76 kilometers northeast of the county, bordering laren town in the northeast and northwest, Jiagui Township in the southeast, lalie town in the South and Yong'an town in the west, with an administrative area of 169.2 square kilometers. The registered residence of nine villages, nine, nine, nine, nine, nine, nine, nine and 9 villages were divided into 223 villages. Evolution of organizational system

In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was under the jurisdiction of Yongshun Prefecture and Qingyuan Prefecture; in the Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of Yishan county. After liberation, in 1950, it belonged to the 6th District of Yishan county (Beiya District); in August 1952, it belonged to the 11th district of Yishan county (laren District); in February 1953, it belonged to the 4th District of Yishan County; in 1955, it belonged to laren District of Yishan County, which was included in Du'an Yao Autonomous County in December of the same year, and it still belonged to Laren district. In August 1958, the township system was abolished and belonged to Dongfanghong people's commune (the former four districts of Baiwang, laren, lalie and Fulong were merged and established). In July 1959, Jiudu people's commune was established. In August 1962, it belonged to laren District, and in March 1968, it belonged to laren commune. In November 1984, eight villagers' committees, namely Jiudu, Jiuling, Jiuru, Jiujing, Jiutian, Jiuguang, Jiufu and Jiusi, were set up in laren Township, and another Jiudu township was set up in the newly established Jiuquan villagers' committee. According to folk opinion, in ancient times, because of the inconvenience of land transportation, Diaojiang river became the main traffic channel, and the distribution of agricultural and sideline products were ferried to the territory by water, and there were nine ferries (docks), so it was named "Jiudu".

Location context

Jiudu township is located in the northeast of the county seat of Du'an Yao Autonomous County, Hechi City, 76 kilometers, the widest from east to west is about 17.9 kilometers, and the widest from north to south is about 13.4 kilometers. It borders laren town in the northeast and northwest, Jiagui Township in the southeast, lalie town in the South and Yong'an town in the West. By the end of 2017, the administrative area was 169.2 square kilometers.

topographic features

Located in the rocky mountain area, the terrain inclines from northwest to Southeast. There are many rocky mountains in the East and West, and there are canyons in the north, South and middle. The territory is mainly composed of soluble carbonate strata, showing the southern bare karst mountain landscape. Diaojiang river flows through the rural area for about 22 km. Under the erosion and dissolution of long-term flow of river water, the river valley landform is composed of riverbed, floodplain and terrace. The river valley is composed of carbonate rock, with deep water, narrow river surface, V-shaped Valley, large longitudinal profile gradient, about 5-10 ‰. Many rapids are often formed, and secondary terraces are obviously developed.

The territory belongs to the northern edge of subtropical monsoon climate zone, with continuous rain and less sunshine hours in spring; high temperature, hot and humid in summer, concentrated rainstorm; sunny in autumn, often dry in autumn; cold in winter, few rainfall. According to the hydrological data of Du'an County, the average annual rainfall is 1726mm. The temperature in the valley is slightly higher than that in the mountain area, which is 2-3 ℃ lower than that in the valley. The annual average temperature is 19.6 ℃～ 21 ℃.

hydrology

The main river in the territory is Diaojiang, with a total length of 237km (about 22km), and a total drainage area of 3604km2. The riverbed is 50 ~ 100m wide, 15 ~ 18m deep and 1.15 ‰ slope. According to the measured data of Malong hydrological station in Jiuling village from 1957 to 2005, the annual average water temperature is 21.2c ℃. The annual maximum water level of the Pearl River base level was 127.31m (1994), the annual minimum water level was 111.64m (1963), and the annual average water level was 114.46m. The maximum annual discharge is 2600 m3 / S (1994), the minimum annual discharge is 2.73 m3 / S (1991), and the average annual discharge is 73.9 m3 / s.

mineral resources

The main minerals discovered in the territory are limestone (limestone for cement, limestone for building stone, limestone for limestone making and limestone for calcium carbide), with abundant reserves, good quality and high grade, which can be used as raw materials for chemical industry, metallurgy and building materials industry.

water resource

The territory is rich in water resources, Diaojiang river flows through the countryside about 22 kilometers. In the early days of liberation, Jiaguo hydropower station (now abandoned) and Gulang hydropower station were built on Diaojiang river for power generation and irrigation, and Jintan Hydropower Station (Jiusi) and Jiuling hydropower station (Jiuling) were successively built.

Population, ethnic customs and specialties

At the end of 2017, the number of public security registered residence was 5687, 21 thousand and 400 were all rural population. There are Zhuang, Yao, Shui, Mulao, Maonan and other ethnic minorities, among which the total population proportion of Zhuang and Yao is more than 90%.

Famous specialty: wild black goat, mountain wine, Diaojiang river fish, fragrant pig, etc.

Special snacks: glutinous corn cake, banana leaf glutinous rice dumplings, glutinous rice Ciba, Shimo Douhua, fried tofu cake, yangkui soup, etc.

Economics

It is one of the main production areas of Du'an goat, mainly for agricultural economy, mainly for corn, beans, sweet potato and mulberry, and mainly for black goat, chicken, duck and cocoon.

traffic

Cement roads have been built in every village. The Diaojiang river valley passes by county highway x868, which is about 24 km long. At the end of 2017, the cement road from Jiuguang village to Fumin Village of Gaoling town was completed and opened to traffic (connecting to county road x922), reducing the road from the Township People's government to the county by about 27 km. The Diaojiang river is shallow and has only 5 to 10 ton wooden boats.

Cultural and sports education

Jiudu township has one junior middle school and nine village primary schools. Among them: Jiudu Township junior high school has 15 teaching classes with 910 students, 871 boarding students and 36 in-service teachers; primary school has 2075 students and 105 in-service teachers (2018).

Cultural relics

"Jiuru Han tomb group" is located in Jiuru village, known as "shimenfu" by the masses, where there are 5 Han tombs. A three legged bronze Jiaohu with handle was unearthed in July 1958, and a number of pottery houses were unearthed in 1976. It is now in the Museum of the autonomous region. Identified by the archaeological Department of the autonomous region, the tombs were identified as tombs of the Eastern Han Dynasty and listed as key cultural relics protection units of the autonomous region.

Famous people

Qin Yizhi (1907-1995): male, general of the Kuomintang, born in Jiudu street, Jiudu Township, Du'an Yao Autonomous County. He graduated from the second phase of Huangpu Military Academy. During the Anti Japanese War, he participated in the Great Wall Gubeikou Anti Japanese War, Taierzhuang battle, Wuhan battle, Changsha battle and many other battles. After the founding of new China, he successively served as the counselor director of the Ministry of water resources and the Ministry of water resources and electric power, member of the second and third National Defense Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference, vice president of the Huangpu Military Academy Alumni Association, and executive deputy director of the Standing Committee of Beijing Municipal People's Congress .
