Xianan Township

Xianan township is located at the southern foot of Yunnan Guizhou Plateau, in the southwest of Huanjiang Maonan Autonomous County, adjacent to Shuiyuan town in the East, Nandan county in the west, Mulun Township in the north and Jinchengjiang District in the south. The township has a population of 20018, of which 98.2% are Maonan. It is the only place where Maonan people live and originate in China. The township governs 1 community, 10 administrative villages, 240 production teams and 288 natural villages, with a total area of 417000 Mu and 15737 mu of arable land.
