Sannong Yao nationality township is the only nationality township under the jurisdiction of Donglan County, Hechi City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. With a total area of 89 square kilometers and a population of 5329 people, Bunuyao is mainly inhabited, inheriting the famous bronze drum culture. Sannong Yao township is located in the middle of Donglan County, 25 kilometers away from Donglan county. The total area of the township is 89 square kilometers, under the jurisdiction of 5 villager committees, 74 villager groups and 146 natural villages.

Economics

Sannong Yao township is located on the West Bank of the beautiful Hongshui River, with convenient water and land transportation, rich natural resources and strong folk customs. The cultivated land area of the township is 4381 mu. The agricultural production here is mainly corn, rice, soybean and sweet potato, with an annual grain output of 860 tons. The breeding industry is mainly goat, silkworm, Sanwu chicken and Yaoshan native chicken. The annual average number of labor export is more than 1400, and the per capita net income in 2003 is 1061 yuan.

The annual BunuYao festival attracts guests from all over the world, and the activities are very lively. Yao folk songs and Yao bronze drum dance are well-known both inside and outside the district. They have participated in various art performances on behalf of the county literature and art team for many times and won awards. The Yao folk songs performed by the Yao young singers won the silver prize in the second Nanning International Folk Song Festival, and the Yao bronze drum Folk Song Festival in Hechi area won the second prize.

First, we should do a good job in census and filing, and improve the protection of bronze drum culture.

The bronze drum is a legendary national artifact of Bunuyao. It is not only the largest number of folk preserved bronze drums, but also the cultural vitality and integrity of the bronze drum. According to the census, there are 48 bronze drums of Bunuyao nationality, accounting for 28% of the total number of bronze drums in the township. In 2003, the Ministry of culture of the people's Republic of China launched the "Chinese folk culture protection project". The Guangxi Department of culture formulated the work plan of "Bronze Drum Art Protection in the Hongshui River Basin", carried out the general survey of the stock of bronze drums, and actively applied for protection projects. At the end of 2003, the "Bunuyao bronze drum culture" project was approved as the "Chinese national and folk culture protection project"; in 2004, the township bronze drum literature and art team was awarded the title of excellent amateur literature and art team by Guangxi Department of culture; in 2008, the "Bunuyao bronze drum culture" project was approved as the intangible cultural heritage protection project of the autonomous region. We are applying for national protection projects.

For example, the Guangxi Folk Song Art Festival in 2000, the unveiling ceremony of China's tourist attractions in 2008, CCTV's "Chinese folk song column" and other activities all have wonderful displays of Bunuyao national bronze drum culture. Fourth, the development of bronze drum cultural commodities has achieved certain results. In 2000, the amateur literature and art team of the township won a silver medal in the challenge arena competition of Nanning International Folk Song Art Festival.

Third, we should make great efforts to excavate and reorganize the folk bronze drum culture so that it can be inherited from generation to generation.

In 1996, the township began to engage in the excavation, collation and inheritance of Bunuyao national bronze drum culture and art, and has written "general situation of the connotation of copper drum", "general situation of the value of copper drum", "Bunuyao percussion Performance Festival method of copper drum", "percussion performance steps of each role of copper drum", "Bunuyao bronze drum singing", "Bunuyao bronze drum worship", "Bunuyao bronze drum use and taboo", etc Books. In recent years, the township has organized young villagers to attend 12 training courses on bronze drum culture, with 167 trainees. Meanwhile, the township has organized personnel to interview the elderly, record the legend and history of bronze drum culture, record the drum beat and dance, and implement the bronze drum culture memory project. In addition, a bronze drum art workshop will be set up in the township primary school, and a bronze drum art workshop will be built.

Over the past few years, the township has received more than 600 experts and scholars at home and abroad. Among them, overseas experts and scholars from Taiwan and South Korea, especially European journalists, have made Bunuyao's magical bronze drum culture famous all over the world.
