Xiangbei township is located in the north of Yizhou District, Hechi City, with an area of 209 square kilometers and a cultivated area of 20100 mu, including 9500 mu of paddy field and 10600 mu of dry land. Before 1951, it belonged to Tianhe county. In 1951, it was merged into Luocheng county with Tianhe county. In 1962, it was assigned to Yishan county. It has jurisdiction over 14 village committees and a community, 213 villager groups and 296 natural villages, with a population of 20073, of which 97.6% are agricultural population and 2.4% are non-agricultural population. Most of them are Zhuang nationality.
